year 2 semester 2 project dino

i really enjoyed doing my last projects. it included doing things that i had wanted to try and hadn't done before. this meant doing 3d, doing installation, origami and other materials i hadn't used before. this also meant that I didn't do much printmaking or traditional drawing, which i love doing. i really enjoyed using printmaking as my main medium at the end of the first year and missed it.

so for my 'work placement' project i am going to be concentrating mostly on dinosaurs again, but in a much more traditional and realistic way. places i am going for my placements are florida, universal studios, the Jurassic park section, which has lots of dinosaur skeletons and fossils, and also manchester museum.

i plan on making lots of sketches and drawings in different media. after i have done a wide range of drawings and sketches I will take them to the print room and make lots of prints from them. This means doing photo-intaglio, lino, collograph, drypoint and monoprints. i will do my prints on a large scale, experimenting with size and techniques.
